What will the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus review offer? What are the pros and shortcomings of the phone? Let’s move on to the topic in detail. Launched last year, the Galaxy Note 9, the way everyone hoped to have great features. Even the previous model, the Galaxy Note 8, despite the rather boring, was considered an upgrade.

Now this year’s flagship Note series is  Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus. Compared to last year’s upgrades, they have a very top-notch approach. Let’s take a quick look at the features.

Although the Note10 Plus has disappointed some demanding Note fans, it is undeniable that the phone is an absolute powerhouse and complies with the trend of 2019, although it certainly lacks in some aspects.

As you can see, one of the most noticeable changes is the screen size and camera department. With curved edges and cut-out bezels, Samsung was able to fit a fairly large screen into the housing.

Galaxy Note 10 Plus Design and Build Quality

Predictably, the Galaxy Note 10 Plus offers nothing but superior material and flawless construction. It uses two curved glass plates on the front and back, and a metal side frame that holds them together.

Gorilla Glass version is currently not available, but it is claimed to be Gorilla Glass 6. You can see noticeable detail on the back panel by comparing Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy S10 Plus and Note 10 Plus side by side.

The back of the device looks like the back of the CD. It is beautiful in terms of charm and gradient stands out. Also available in Aura White, Aura Black, and Aura Blue paint colors. It looks stunning, but fingerprints and smudges are quickly formed and stand out, regardless of angle. It is also extremely slippery due to its glass sandwich design.

Samsung tried to cope with better ergonomics and grip. Although the curvature of both glass panels is ideal, the side frame is sharp. Of course, the phone is quite large, so this design choice will not appeal to everyone. When you hold it firmly, the edges and sharp corners fit perfectly in the palm of your hand.

What’s even more impressive is the weight of the phone – 196grams. For a 6.8-inch device, the Galaxy Note10 Plus is much lighter and more stable than some of its competitors. There is only a noticeable uneven distribution of weight – the upper part of the hull is slightly heavier.

It is difficult to use with one hand and the extra high 19: 9 aspect ratio does not help either. The bottom of the phone is ideal, but the top is hard to reach.

Front Panel and Edges

Now it’s time for the front design of the phone. We have a notch smaller than the holes in the Galaxy S10 series. It does not interfere in any way. Outside the hole, the screen looks great. The frames are one of the thinnest frames we’ve seen on a phone.

To the right of the USB-C connector, we see one of the S-Pen and speaker grilles. At the bottom, there is also a secondary noise-canceling microphone. At the top there are microSD and SIM card slot and the main microphone.

And finally, a few words about the new S-Pen. All you need to remove the S-Pen is a simple and satisfying click. The usual subtle and wonderful blue color stands out.

Galaxy Note 10 Plus Display and Performance

Samsung’s AMOLEDs were at the centre of the flagship Galaxy smartphones. The Galaxy Note10 Plus is no exception. The phone comes equipped with Samsung’s new Dynamic AMOLED panels. In short, it means a better display than last year’s Super AMOLEDs.

The new screen is 6.8 inches diagonally. The pixel density is 498 PPI. It creates a sharp and vivid image. The screen will be suitable for future improvements over time.

In the screen tests, the phone reached record levels as expected. Its brightness is more than enough to ensure comfortable use even in direct sunlight.

Screen Test 100% brightness

We can easily say that the Galaxy Note10 Plus has one of the best screens on the market without compromising on size . The only thing missing here is the high refresh rate.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus Battery Life

Historically, the Galaxy Note series always had good battery life. The Note10 Plus has a super slim body and a 4,300 mAh battery. And despite the 6.8-inch display, the device performed outstandingly in battery tests.

Talk time, standby and video playback scores are excellent. Only the web browsing runtime seems to be lower than expected. Compared to its predecessor, there is a noticeable improvement in all three categories except web browsing.

The difference between the note 10 plus and the s10 plus is that the note10 plus has better video playback and 3g talk time

And for the first time in years, Samsung finally brings competitive fast charging technology to its flagship devices. Note 10 Plus supports two fast-charging speeds – 25W and 45W. Both can be charged with a USB-C cable that complies with the USB Power Delivery 3.0 standard.

The bad news is that the retail box of the phone gives you a 25W wall charger. The good news is that even the 25W charger is fast enough to compete in today’s market.

The 30-minute charge provides 64% charge. This is even faster than the Oneplus 7 Pro’s 30W charge and looses to the P30 Pro’s 40W SuperCharge by just a few percentage points.

Galaxy Note 10 Plus Performance Results

Depending on the region, you will receive either the Snapdragon 855 Plus or Exynos 9825 chipsets. A slightly more advanced version of the Exynos 9820 chipset on the Galaxy S10 Plus. The improvements are based on higher clock rates on some cores and slightly smaller processing.

A new GPU speed has been set, but Samsung does not explain the clock speed. We know that the Mali G76 MP12 GPU in Exynos 9820 is clocked at 702 MHz. Therefore, we think that the new variable should be slightly higher.

In terms of memory, the Note 10 Plus comes in an excellent hardware configuration, even in the most basic version that comes with 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM. The other storage version is 512GB. In both cases, it has the UFS 3.0 flash storage, unlike the slower UFS 2.1 on the S10 Plus.

In the multi-core test, Exynos 9825 loses to Snapdragon 855. In the first benchmark test, we observed lower than expected figures until a few attempts. Final results Exynos 9825’s performance results were more consistent.

Galaxy Note 10 Plus Camera Review

The previous model of the phone, and this year’s Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus is almost identical cameras. However, it offers several improvements in hardware and software.

The main camera on the rear panel, 2x telephoto lens and ultra-wide-angle unit. When shooting portraits, there is also a 3D ToF sensor that fits with some AR-related features. The main camera remains the same, a 12MP sensor combined with a variable aperture lens in the Galaxy S9 series.

The main camera is useful when shooting scenes or subjects at different distances. But if you don’t have enough light, the software captures more light than f / 1.5 by default.

Camera Enhancements

The next step in the list is the wide-angle cameraIt comes with a 16MP sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens. This is one of the largest cameras you can have a Smartphone, but it still lacks autofocus.

The telephoto camera offers a slight improvement over the last generation and the S10. It comes with a 12MP sensor, the lens now has a wider aperture, allowing more light to enter. Not as competitive as devices that have adopted 3x and 5x telephoto lenses.

Both telephoto and normal cameras are optically balanced. As mentioned earlier, a 3D ToF VGA camera next to the triple camera setup helps with depth of scene information.

Conclusion

With the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus review, you’ve seen a lot of features. The phone is currently the best smartphone in the market. One of the reasons for this is that there is no competitor phone in this segment. Of course, in this case, it will change after two or three months.

The phone’s premium design is as expected. The eye-catching brightness behind it will attract many people. Of course, according to some, it can cause problems. Although there is no change in the camera section, there are significant updates to the software.

Of course, if you want to buy a Note series device with the latest processor and the latest hardware, this is the best offer for you. Moreover, even the S-Pen is quite ambitious compared to its predecessors.
