No question about it – a condensation dryer or condensation dryer is significantly inferior to a heat pump dryer in some areas. However, an inexpensive condenser dryer is significantly cheaper to buy compared to a heat pump dryer, which is why it can be worthwhile for many to buy such a device. Below you will find an overview of the different models and decision-making aid for the purchase. This is followed by a list of the best of the best condenser dryers that we determined in the test.
Which are the best condenser dryers in India?
In addition to the low price, it was also able to stand out with the drum lighting, express programs for sports and fitness clothing, and the reversing drum movements, which ensure a faster and crease-free result. You can choose between 16 programs and achieve a maximum volume of 65 dB. Thanks to a BabyProtect program, the dryer can draw almost all of the residual moisture out of the laundry, which reduces the accumulation of bacteria. The residual moisture is automatically determined by the FlexySense system so that the dryer always knows the degree of dryness of the contents.
The bottom line is that the device is very cheap and offers enough functions for most users. It is therefore consistently recommended, but it is a bit more awkward to use compared to other models, especially at the beginning.
Siemens 8 Kg Condensation Dryer (WT44B202IN, White)
The energy efficiency class B device from Siemens consumes an average of 497 kWh / year and has a capacity of 8 kilograms. With a maximum volume of 66 dB, it is a bit louder than many competing models, but above all, it impresses with its very good workmanship and excellent value for money.
Thanks to the moisture sensor, the laundry is dried to the point and the crease protection in conjunction with the honeycomb drum ensures very good results with few creases. The internal sensors not only measure the residual moisture, but also the temperature, which means that your laundry is well protected against overdrying and overheating. The operation is intuitive, the program selection coherent and sensible, so you can of course fall back on a particularly economical program or a 40-minute quick-drying program, which is very energy-hungry.
In some cases, the lint filter could be improved, because here lint often gets stuck on the edge of the filter, so that it can easily encounter the laundry when it is removed. However, if you are looking for a cheap and generally well-functioning branded device, purchasing the Siemens model can pay off for you.

Types of clothes dryers
A distinction is made between three different types of tumble dryers, which also include condensation dryers. There are big differences between the devices in terms of power consumption, so the decision should be carefully considered.
Exhaust air dryer:
Here the used exhaust air is directed to the outside via a hose. Almost all modern devices work with drainable water chambers in which the residual water collects so that they are hardly represented.
Condenser dryer:
The waste heat is released into the room so that no hose is required. However, this greatly increases the humidity in the room, so you have to be a little careful concerning mold growth. In principle, however, they can be used anywhere, are inexpensive to purchase but more expensive in terms of follow-up costs compared to heat pump dryers.
Heat pump dryer:
This group works the most efficiently but is also the most expensive. A heat pump uses some of the waste heat for the next drying process, which saves a lot of energy. However, this technology is correspondingly more complex. Over time, however, the prices for heat pump dryers have fallen significantly, so that today a cheap heat pump dryer can already be significantly cheaper than a high-quality branded condenser dryer.
Operation and handling
Modern appliances usually take a little longer to dry the laundry, as they work with lower temperatures and a different drying technique than models that are 10 years old. This means that they are generally quieter and significantly more economical, regardless of whether you opt for a condensation or heat pump unit. In terms of operation and handling, the devices differ quite significantly from one another, but basically, all the models tested were easy and comfortable to use, so that it mainly depends on personal preference.
Also, keep in mind that some models offer a very wide range of programs. In practice, however, you will work with two programs in 90% of the cases: Cupboard dry and Iron dry or, if necessary, use an eco-program or a particularly quiet night program. A very large selection of programs therefore usually only brings you little additional benefit in everyday life.
